Then the LORD said to me,
“Write my answer plainly on tablets,
so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time.
It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently,
for it will surely take place.
It will not be delayed.

I always tried my best to write things down. I usually carry a notebook with me, but when I have this great idea or a few words that would sound great as lyrics, I can never find somewhere to write. Now with a smart phone, I should be able to write anything down at a moment’s notice. So far it’s worked well, but I do miss the feel of pencil on paper.

Same thing with new year resolutions. Why have them when we tend to break them? I eventually gave up on writing down resolutions because they either get lost or forgotten in between the pages of my notebook. I tend to find my list a year later.

So when I heard this verse it made me think more about writing down goals and ideas. A lot of ideas and thoughts go through my mind every day. Many of hem pass by and then they are lost. Sometimes I wonder if any of those thoughts could have been something God was telling me or reminding me of.

To tell you the truth, sometimes I am so busy that I don’t feel I hear anything from Him. But just when I think  I am completely disconnected, He brings a word or song into my life. The right word at the right time. It’s time like those that I am amazed and in awe, when I realize God is really watching over us.
